English Premier League {11:28 PM}

The new English Premier League starts this saturday with all teams gunning for their 1st win of the season! Ain't it cool that there's some high class soccer again? When the EPL ended, there was World Cup. After the World Cup the individual leagues start. =) French league has started, Scottish as well. Upcoming would be the English, Spanish and Italian in September. How cool. To top it up, there's the yahoo soccer thing happening! All should take part! It's a game about soccer where you choose 11 players in a certain formation using 100 points, and after every week of English Premier League action gain points through the individual players. It is based on the real player that plays. It is really cool to play. Many things that we can learn, like the players that we chose, the scores of every game after every Saturday and stuff. It's really good. Need more info just contact me yeah? =)
After seeing the match between Liverpool and Chelsea in the Community Shield, I am quite determined to know that Liverpool will be the English Champions come May 2007. Grown to such a great club, obtaining a record high points for a 3rd place team last season, won the FA Cup last season via a comeback, Champions League 2 seasons ago via another more dramatic comeback, and most recently blowing Chelsea away in the Community Shield match. *Wonder how Tristan had reacted to it* With imports such as Craig Bellamy, Jermaine Pennant, Mark Gonzalez, Gabriel Palleta and Fabio Aurelio. Oooo. Wonderful people. Especially Gonzalez. Becoming my new idol already. Ahh. He looks good and he's sooooo good. =)
Now there's going to be something new that distracts me from studying. Still, You'll Never Walk Alone!!!
Violence or Love {1:00 AM}
Saturday, August 12, 2006
The world is getting more and more violent. Agreed. Because of negative impacts on children from the media? Because it's cool? Because it's necessary for the good of myself? Well, it all depends. As I look at the newspaper this morning about the attempt to bomb Britain, I'm wondering why are people looking to destroy? What have anyone done to allow such people to attempt to attack? Maybe they were offended? But it can't be that the whole of Britain offended them. It doesn't make any sense. This morning during GP tutorial, we watched the life of Gandhi. Inspirational man was he. No attempt to use any form of violence, just perserverence and belief. Can anyone be more offended or discriminated than how the Indians were discriminated against during Gandhi's time? Yet the Indians did not resort to violence. It would be nice if everyone were like him and the Indians at that time.
Learning points:
- do not attempt to retaliate when someone offends you. Control.
- in moments of anger, close your eyes and hit the wall or any non-living thing around.
Life is full of surprises. Life is also full of desires. Life is full of happiness, but life is also full of disappointments. Well, think about it. Do you get everything you desire? NO! Unless you're that child of Bill Gates or something. But think again. Can money give you all that you desire to have? NO! I'm sorry child of Bill Gates. This is when we all have to learn how to accept how life is for us.
The desire for more money = greed = evil = violence.
The desire for happiness = love = happiness!
Love love and more love =)
here without you {9:39 PM}

A hundred days have made me older
Since the last time that I saw your pretty face
A thousand lies have made me colder
And I don't think I can look at this the same
All the miles that separate
Disappear now when I'm dreaming of your face
I'm here without you baby
But you're still on my lonely mind
I think about you baby and I dream about you all the time
I'm here without you baby
But you're still with me in my dreams
And tonight, there's only you and me
The miles just keep rollin'
As the people leave their way to say hello
I've heard this life is overrated
But I hope that it gets better as we go
Everything I know, anywhere I go
It gets hard but it won't take away my love
And when the last one falls, when it's all said and done
It gets hard but it won't take away my love
Dedicated to _______ =)

The Votes {8:29 PM}
Friday, August 04, 2006
I was sitting on my sofa watching Singapore Idol and something came across my mind. How are the votes compiled? As in the process. Computerised I guess. But it's so easy for someone to tamper with it. Who knows. Ever wondered what will happen if no one in Singapore votes? Haha! Can't even imagine that. Well, its such a great way to earn money. Imagine 1 vote is 60 cents. There are 8 contestants right now. Say 400 votes a person. That would be $1920 earned in 1 episode. Oh my gosh! That's so much.
I still feel that judges should have a say in who goes out every week. Don't you think by purely voting, it's not the best way to find out who will be our Idol. Well, at least Taufik is a Singapore Idol material, we have to hope that the 2nd one would be as good, if not better. I've already seen a few as good, like Hady, Jonathan, Mathilda. Everyone says they can't imagine them being and Idol. Come on, could you imagine Taufik would be the Idol? Think about it.
Voting. Concludes that its not the best way. Well, that's the way and we just have to accept. But don't you think that only those who are friends or fans of this particular person will vote for them? How about the neutral people? Will they want to vote? Not very fair eh? Haha. Oh well. That's life for you. =)
