The world is getting more and more violent. Agreed. Because of negative impacts on children from the media? Because it's cool? Because it's necessary for the good of myself? Well, it all depends. As I look at the newspaper this morning about the attempt to bomb Britain, I'm wondering why are people looking to destroy? What have anyone done to allow such people to attempt to attack? Maybe they were offended? But it can't be that the whole of Britain offended them. It doesn't make any sense. This morning during GP tutorial, we watched the life of Gandhi. Inspirational man was he. No attempt to use any form of violence, just perserverence and belief. Can anyone be more offended or discriminated than how the Indians were discriminated against during Gandhi's time? Yet the Indians did not resort to violence. It would be nice if everyone were like him and the Indians at that time.
Learning points:
- do not attempt to retaliate when someone offends you. Control.
- in moments of anger, close your eyes and hit the wall or any non-living thing around.
Life is full of surprises. Life is also full of desires. Life is full of happiness, but life is also full of disappointments. Well, think about it. Do you get everything you desire? NO! Unless you're that child of Bill Gates or something. But think again. Can money give you all that you desire to have? NO! I'm sorry child of Bill Gates. This is when we all have to learn how to accept how life is for us.
The desire for more money = greed = evil = violence.
The desire for happiness = love = happiness!
Love love and more love =)
