A Radical Change {12:34 AM}
Monday, September 11, 2006

The motivation of wanting to change for someone else, a positive change. Indeed, not the change for the human that you love, but for Jesus Christ. After recently attending the Young Methodist Leader's Conference, I just felt moved to cause myself to undergo a radical change for God. I know it's tough. No one said it wasn't tough in the first place. I'm quite sure this event has caused me to grow much deeper in Christ, but we should not just depend on these kind of things to draw yourself closer to God. Requirement would be to do it yourself. That way, intimacy with God will be achieved.

I've found myself really useless and hopeless for the past year, due to my lack in the resting on the Lord. It was only during this conference that something really struck me. We all know that Jesus Christ suffered and died for our sins. If we watch "The Passion of the Christ" we'll understand it better. But have we really thought about it in a more personal way? Many people, me included, are guilty of taking for granted the gift of God when He sent Jesus to die for our sins. Yes it is difficult to identify with Christ because we have not yet die, but do we acknowledge the effort of God, his perfect will for us all? Do we really see the significance of the cross? Do we understand the significance of the cross?

It is because of this that I felt so comfortable in the presence of the Lord during the past few days. If one would just focus and think about what God has done for oneself and for the world, one will just stand in awe of Him, filled with thanksgiving and humble oneself to look up to Him. This is just how you will feel if the Spirit is moving in you.

I just cannot forget the importance of the cross and the wonderful thing God has done for all of us. I have been listening to the song "At the Cross" by Darlene Zschech. This is one song that really touched my heart, moved me to cry out to God.

A radical change for God. That's what we all need if we're not right with our relationship with Him. Change or face the consequences. I want to change. Do you?
